Contract Details:

This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The Medical Specialist will work on-site at various construction projects and will report directly to the Project Manager.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Specialist to join our team. The Medical Specialist will be responsible for providing medical support and assistance to our construction workers on-site. This includes assessing and treating injuries and illnesses, providing first aid and emergency care, and promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct on-site medical assessments and evaluations of construction workers

- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed

- Administer medication and treatment as prescribed

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all employees

- Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and implement safety protocols and procedures

- Conduct safety training and education for employees on topics such as injury prevention and proper lifting techniques

- Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment

- Communicate with outside medical professionals and coordinate referrals for specialized care, if necessary

- Participate in safety meetings and provide recommendations for improving workplace safety

- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices for employee health and safety

- Maintain confidentiality of all medical information in accordance with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field

- Current state nursing license

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Specialist or Occupational Health Nurse

- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Willingness to travel to various construction sites as needed
